We’re incredibly proud of the work our academies have done to prepare for the new academic year. It has been wonderful to welcome (and welcome back!) young people to our academies.
Of course, we want everyone to feel safe when they visit any of our sites, and we want to reassure parents and carers that their children’s wellbeing is our utmost priority.
That is why our teams have put in a great deal of work in order to ensure our sites are as safe as possible. We have carefully considered how best to group young people together, to ensure we reduce contact between different groups of students, and how we can ensure the buildings are rigorously cleaned on a regular basis.
As you can see below, Tamworth Sixth Form have produced a video outlining the changes they have made to life at the Sixth Form and the new safety measures they have put in place. Similar steps have been put in place at all of our academies, from introducing one-way systems, to implementing a limit on the number of people allowed in any one room. We have worked diligently to make sure social distancing is possible at all times.
We know that the last few months have been incredibly challenging for all of our students, their families, and their communities. We have been forced to change so much about life at our academies, but what has not changed, and will never change, is how much we care about the happiness, health and wellbeing of all our young people.
We are confident that our new safety measures will ensure students can continue their education in a safe, welcoming, environment, and we are excited to welcome them at the start of the new academic year.
